AFAN is funded in the following ways:

  • Community Support
  • Fundraising & Special Events
  • Federal, County, City and Foundation Grants
AFAN serves more than 1,100 clients per year. In addition, we assist many more individuals on a more limited frequency. Due to confidentiality and HIPPA regulations, AFAN does record information for individuals that visit our website, interact on social media, connect to our community partners, speak to via phone / email, or through our confidential HIV testing center. It is estimated that 3,500 or more people contact AFAN for guidance each year. We do our best to get all of the people that contact us in touch with all the right resources to help them achieve their best quality of life. Our client base consists of individuals, families and children and includes all genders, races and ages.
Established in 1984, Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) is an independent, nonprofit AIDS service organization. AFAN is the oldest and largest AIDS service organization in Nevada.
